About Us

Roots-Raices Bilingual Counseling began in 2019.  It started first as a part time practice, but as we saw the need of the community, we were able to open and practice full time in 2020.

The focus of Roots-Raices Bilingual Counseling is to serve the Spanish speaking community, to educate the community about mental health, and break the stigma of mental health. We are passionate about helping couples, marriages, families, parents, inter racial relationships and children. Our bilingual staff is equipped and ready to work with those who seek therapy and counseling

Stephanie Benitez, Student Intern

Hello! My name is Stephanie Benitez and I am a second year Mental Health Counseling student at the University of Central Arkansas. As a student in training, I look forward to the opportunity of meeting clients at Roots-Raices. I am both a Spanish and English speaker and more than willing to work with you in either language! Though I am only in my second year in the program, I see my limited experience as a strength as I will approach each and every client with respect and an open mind to understand them fully. I think each person is unique and has their own story and should be respected and treated as such. I look forward to hearing your story and walking alongside you to reach the goals and changes you hope to achieve through therapy.
